After you had seen Anoushka Sharma as a shy Punjabi girl with her all-covered salwar-kameez in ‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’, it comes as a pleasant surprise as the girl switches to chic miniskirts, bikini tops and hot pants in her forthcoming ‘Badmaash Company’ where she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor. If her sexy makeover was not enough, she also has a steamy and passionate kiss with Shahid in the movie.
Though director Parmeet Sethi does admit that he was ‘ a little hesitant initially’ whether Anoushka could carry off the role of a sexy con woman, he is now all praises for the way Anoushka has turned out.
“To be honest, I was a little hesitant. The film did not need a salwar- kameez girl.
But Adi pushed me into meeting her and once I did, I knew I had found my Bulbul
( the name of Anoushka’s character in Badmaash Company ),” says Parmeet.

April 26th 2010 Income Tax search at SRK’s office, Preity Zinta summoned by court
The financial deals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is under investigation and as such income tax officials conducted search operations at the offices of the Bengal Cricket Association and Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders this Wednesday and Thursday and the officials have claimed that they have found substantial evidence of illegitimate transactions. The search began at 3 pm on Wednesday at both the board’s office at the Eden Gardens stadium and the premises of Kolkata Knight Riders and its parent Red Chillies Entertainment of actor Shah Rukh Khan at ITC Sonar Bangla and continued till early hours of Thursday.
“We have found incriminating evidence. We will investigate further. We needed to have a look at certain transactions and we’ve found whatever we were looking for,” said Indian Revenue Service Deputy Director Akhilendu Jadhav.

April 26th 2010 Salman Khan to play the villain for ‘Mr. India 2′
Boney Kapoor is planning the sequel to his mega hit ‘Mr. India’in a big way with a Rs. 100 crore budget. This sequel will have Salman Khan playing he villain which will surpass the original Amrish Puri’s role in villainy. The movie will be a 3D one with SFX effects and topline technology.
Boney Kapoor intends on leaving no stones unturned for making it big this time. He says, “It’s true that the budget has shot up to Rs100 crore, as I intend to make the sequel in 3D. I’m bringing down technicians from abroad to create Salman’s ‘look’ for ‘Mr.India 2′. It’s something that has never been attempted on this scale before. It’s a big challenge for me to present Salman in negative role. And I’m sure that it’ll be a role that will be remembered for a very long time.”

April 26th 2010 ‘Housefull’ prints facing a crisis due to volcanic ash eruptions
The volcanic ash has not only crashed the private plans of some of our Bollywood stars but have also given sleepless nights to our prodcers. One such producer is Said Nadiawala whose summer comedy ‘Housefull’ which is set to release this 30th is facing a filemma as the commerical flights have been cancelled and as per release rules the delivery overseas has to be made a week in advance of the release day.
So, Sajid Nadiawala is left with no other option but to hire private jets to take the prints of his movie to England and other European countries.
“This is most unforeseen. In all my years as a producer I’ve never encountered such a a crisis. There’re about a 100 prints to be taken into the Europe. Air traffic has come to a standstill.
I’m hiring private jets to carry the prints to the nearest city with an open air base. From there the prints will be taken to various Euopean cities by train or road. I’m so desperate I’m ready to employ any means of transporation…planes, trains, automobiles, whatever is available,” said Sajid.
Apart from the extra expenditure, Sajid also has other things to worry about. He says, “It doesn’t really matter how much money it would cost. The important thing is to get the prints to the European centres on time. Or else the entire overseas release would be affected.”
Sajid is in no mood to celebrate the completion of his movie ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ and says, “Ranbir Kapoor had a wrap-up party for Anjaana Anjaani. But I wasn’t able to attend because of the these two back-to-back crisis at my workplace. Now I’ll celebrate only when Housefull is released properly everywhere.”

April 22nd 2010 Abhishek and Aishwarya sneak off to celebrate their third anniversary
Perhaps the most looked upon couple in the tinsel town, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated their third anniversary this Tuesday and much in style, the two have flown to an undisclosed location in US to celebrate their anniversary and will be back by 24th April to witness the release of their much awaited ‘Raavan’. The first look of the movie was released just two days ago. The film, produced and directed by Mani Ratnam, is a modern day version of the epic Ramayana and its musical chords have been struck by Oscar-winning maestro AR Rahman.

April 14th 2010 Abhishek Bachchan gets a belated birthday gift from his sister
Actor Abhishek Bachchan has a family anyone would pride in- an iconic yet loving father, a devoted mother, a pretty wife and a doting sister. Recently, his sister Shweta Nanda gave him an Apple iPad (which is not yet available in the Indian market) as his belated birthday gift. The Ipad is a 9.7 inch touchscreen tablet which is just 0.5 inches thick. It is thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook and delivers a battery life of up to 10 hours.

April 14th 2010 Priyanka Chopra grabbed by a stranger
Time and again there have been incidents when crazy fans have tried to mob or grab some actor or actress and this time this scary incident took place with gorgeous Priyanka Chopra. Piggie Chops was on the sets of her forthcoming film opposite Zayed Khan and as soon as the actress stepped out of her vanity van to join her colleagues for dinner, a stranger blocked her way and tried to grab her. The person was in his twenties and getting hold of Priyanka, he tried to pull her closer. A surprised and aghast Priyanka slapped the guy hard in his face to teach him a lesson. This definitely checked the person and saved the situation from getting worse. Meanwhile, her colleagues rushed in to her rescue. Finally, the guy was let off and no police complaint has been filed against him by the actress.

April 12th 2010 Shilpa Shetty visits Ajmer Sharif in a burkha
This is the third time there has been mishaps on the sets of Parmeet Sethi’s ‘Badmaash Company’. This time the cause of the accident was the chandelier which was being used to enhance the décor during the shoot of a music video for the film on Sunday at MT Studio, Andheri. The chandelier came down on the sets and if Shahid Kapoor had not been agile and swift enough to pull Anoushka towards him, it would definitely have hurt the pretty lass.
The movie is being made under the banners of Yash Raj films and is being produced by Aditya Chopra. It is slated for release in May this year.

April 12th 2010 Rekha and Saif receive Padmasree awards from Pratibha Patil
Rekha Ganeshan and Saif Ali Khan received the much awaited Padmasree award by President Pratibha Patil at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Shahrukh Khan may be a superstar but he makes sure that he keeps his kids away from the media glare so that they can have a normal childhood. SRK is also averted to the diea of his children acting in films. To make a latex mold, creating appropriate costume, SRK was placed naked in a room of 12x3 meters. He was cast on a liquid, which, after it dried, it became the famed suit mold. The whole process took about an hour, which is the greatest sacrifice made for the movie actor who plays large scale.
Eventually, the cost of the costume is a trifle, considering that the production budget is $ 22 million. Manufacturers have already said they want to leave a film of quality, especially as he is a co-production with the U.S.A, why will not forget the money.
What makes this movie so special? Being a superhero movie. Has a positive and negative character.
In addition, it has a beautiful girl (Kareena Kapoor), a talented singer (Akon) and a fantastic director (Anubhav Sinha).

April 3rd 2010 Amitabh Bachchan upset at Abhishek being dropped from Earth Day event at New Delhi
Things are not going very smooth for the Big Bachchan, Shehenshah of Bollywood. Recently, he was involved in a controversy when he attended the inauguration of the Bandra-Worli sea link’s extension. Congress leaders had protested this claiming that he is the brand ambassador for Gujarat. In reply, Bachchan posted scanned copies of the official invite he received for the event on his blog, clarifying that he had been invited by a minister.
“I’m sorry if this post looks newspaperish , but I just felt there were things that needed clarification. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ashok Chavan, who was to join me at the literary fest tomorrow in Pune, has changed his program and visited the venue this evening, a day before he was scheduled to. And Bala Saheb Thakeray has in a rare public announcement, stated that ‘Amitabh Bachchan is a true Hindustani”.
Once again, he is angry and upset as son Abhishek Bachchan, who was appointed the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) ambassador for Earth Day, was dropped from the function in New Delhi at the last minute.
This is what the actor wrote on his blog:
“You are perhaps aware that Abhishek has been appointed the WWF (World Wildlife Foundation) ambassador for Earth Day, a campaign that has been initiated by WWF for the preservation of the earth. Many ads in the press have been announcing, with his photograph in place, that on the 27th of March let the entire country observe a simple ritual of putting off the electricity in their homes for an hour from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.”
“An audio visual has been prepared with Abhishek where he is seeking a pledge towards preservation of the Earth and requesting people to switch off their lights for an hour. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs Shiela Dixit, and a prominent member of the ruling Congress Party, is attending the moment. A few hours before the show was to start apparently the audio visual featuring Abhishek has been asked to be removed and banner posters bearing his photograph as ambassador have been stopped from being. I wonder why??”
“Abhishek, who has been working so hard on the cause is obviously disappointed, especially since he had worked late into the night where he was shooting out of town to accommodate this creative. And I wonder. Am I hallucinating, or is there a pattern in all this?”
